no cropping necessary...

One thing I must admire about my work... no cropping. What you are seeing... is coming directly from my camera.
My photoshop browser hasn't been working for a couple months now... and it has made me very aware of the composition of the photograph... before it's taken.

Driving in the dusk...

Sometimes, I just find it fun to drive around at dusk... and play with lighting...

Rafting the North Fork of the Flathead

On Sunday I was fortunate to have 6 of my most wonderful friends "guide" me thru the Flathead River. We rented a paddleboat and made the journey up to the Ford Cabin north of Polebridge (about 6 miles from Canada!) to spend a much needed relaxing day together. I sat on the back of the raft and snapped away! How fun is that!?! I am sooo appreciative of my friends oaring me thru the rocks and log jams. I even was able to get some fly fishing in! It's really too bad I couldn't get any pics of my fishing! hahhaa.

Sun, fun, water, friends, food, fishing.... what a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon... well, it was a 9 hour float!

Ever hear of the Glacier Knights?

Im sure the answer is most likely no... who are they?

Well! The Glacier Knights are a semi-pro football team here in the Flathead Valley. Coach Will Wheat brought them out of the woodwork last season with a 2-6 season. For this past spring season? Try 6-2!!! It's a football team brought together by a passion for football. The men range from lawyers, dry wallers, accountants, labors, etc. "Wow" you think... "part time football player too? Do they get paid?" The answer? They PAY to play. They are looking for sponsors... so if you'd like to help them out, contact Will Wheat thru the Glacier Knight website : www.glacierknights.com. I know they would really appreciate any help they could get. You can also purchase Tshirts and hats too!

I had the fortune of following the entire Glacier Knight season this past April thru June. My partner in crime is the quarterback for the Knights... of course my interest was sparked.

I hope you enjoy these heavy hittin' football shots. To keep up to date on the Glacier Knights, you can join a facebook site I started at :

I took Wednesday morning as some Kat time... and went golfing at Buffalo Hills with 2 of my friends/co-workers. I had golfed this course plenty of times, but the last time being 2 years ago. I had forgotten how HILLY the course was! Barry and Mike were smart and did the cart thing... I toted along the 12 pound camera, clubs, water, etc on a pull cart. WOW. My legs were BEAT by the end of the 18th hole... well... the 15th hole!
